Every year, on the first of December, Somersham village holds a Christmas lights switch-on. People meet in the centre of the village to witness the lights being switched on as well as a visit from Santa and the singing of carols lead by the village band.

Each year the church decorates our windows as part of the celebrations. This year we decided to open the church and give away tea and coffee, and to invite people into the church. Many invitations to our Christmas services were given to those who came in and people passing by.
