Our Mission Statement Is:

We Exist To Help The People Of Somersham And The Surrounding Area Worship And Follow Jesus Christ.

SBC aims to be a God-centred, loving and growing church.  A place where people can come to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, be discipled and encouraged to grow into Christian maturity.  Our aim is to also have a positive impact on Somersham and the surrounding villages.

Our mission is focused on five areas which support achieving our vision:

Sharing Jesus: Fulfilling God’s primary purpose for the local church by sharing the good news of salvation in Jesus with those we meet – through word and action.        Matt 28 v 19,20

Studying God’s Word: Becoming equipped and empowered for our task by focusing daily on the bible, God’s instructions to us, and thus growing as Jesus’ disciples.      2 Tim 3 v 16,17

Seeking God: Praying continually and regularly thanking and praising God, remembering joyfully all that Jesus has done for us.                                                                              1 Thess 5 v 16-18

Supporting Each Other: Loving and supporting the members of our church family practically and spiritually.                                                                                                           John 13v34,35

Serving God and Others: Using gifts that God has given us through the Holy Spirit to serve within the church and also to help those in need outside of our fellowship.            Eph 2 v 10
